Powerlinc Appliance Modules #CH3100R

Take remote appliance control to new levels with ApplianceLinc, a revolutionary new appliance module that introduces entirely new features to the world of appliance automation. The ApplianceLinc not only does everything traditional X10 appliance modules do — including remote on/off control of any appliance or lamp that you don't want dimmed — it adds powerful new features, such as a pass-through outlet, the ability to take part in whole-house lighting scenes, a status LED that indicates powerline activity, and more!

Pass-Through Outlet
In addition to the X10-controlled outlet, ApplianceLinc offers a non X10-controlled outlet on the face. Now you won't have to unplug your appliance modules just to find a place to plug-in the vacuum cleaner.

Get a visual indication when ApplianceLinc is sending or receiving X10 signals.

Durable Construction
Address is set electronically, rather than using old-fashioned address wheels, which are less sturdy and can be too small to easily adjust. Don't worry about losing the address when the power is lost. All settings are stored in non-volatile memory, which means everything will be retained during a power outage. In fact, ApplianceLinc is so smart it will automatically return the load to the same status it was at when the power was lost. So, if the ApplianceLinc was controlling a table fan when the power went off, it will come back on when the power is restored.

Scene Capability
Like our line of SwitchLinc, KeypadLinc and LampLinc receivers, ApplianceLinc 2-Way Modules are fully compatible with whole-house lighting scenes activated by a single X10 signal. For example, if you activate a "Movietime" scene that dims all the lights in the house, you can have the ApplianceLinc turn on a room fan for that complete movie theater effect. Or if you activate a "Relaxation" scene that fills your home with ambient lighting, you can have the ApplianceLinc turn on a cascading fountain.

Quieter Than Standard Appliance Modules
One of the problems with standard appliance modules is the loud click that's associated with them. But the ApplianceLinc has been measured to be more than 80% quieter than standard models.

Selectable Local Control
ApplianceLinc modules offer a local control function, or the ability to turn lamps or appliances directly at the appliance, without the need for an X10 transmitter. If you have a 2-Way ApplianceLinc Module, the unit will also transmit an ON command for the primary address when the controlled load is switched from OFF to ON. For example, if the overhead lights in the bedroom are connected to an X10-/PLC-controlled switch, you can turn them on by switching on the tiny lamp on your nightstand.

Local control features can be successfully used with most loads, including heaters, incandescent lamps and many others. Note: Fluorescent lights, devices with motors and other devices may result in false triggering when an OFF command is sent to the module and it turns back on a few seconds later. For these loads, it's recommended that the load detect feature be turned off.

Two- or Three-Pin Versions to Choose From
All ApplianceLinc appliance modules are available in standard two-prong versions and three-prong versions with a ground pin. Choose the one that matches the outlet you plan on plugging it into (Note: two-prong appliances can also be plugged into three-prong ApplianceLincs).

Two-Way Versions Available for the Ultimate in System Monitoring
For the ultimate in two-way control, select the ApplianceLinc 2-Way 3-Pin (#2002STW) or ApplianceLinc 2-Way 2-Pin (#2001STW). ApplianceLinc 2-Way will provide intelligent controllers with status feedback, which is great for web and other "truly" remote control applications.

Safety Tested and Factory Certification
All ApplianceLinc appliance modules are safety approved. The assembly line for Smarthome Design Products is ISO9002 certified. In order to meet the ISO 9002 standards, the entire factory underwent rigorous inspections of procedures and policies before being thoroughly audited. The certification received was based on its dedication to high quality management systems and strict adherence of quality systems and guidelines.
